Active Ingredients :
(Curcuma longa L.) Tumerics uses extend far beyond the kitchen. Turmeric is a member of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae spp.) and has been extensively used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years. It is used in treating inflammatory conditions and also has anti-fungal and anti-oxidant properties. The principal active ingredient is known as Curcumin. Curcumins inhibit certain enzymes responsible for inflammation, reducing the swelling in joints and thus alleviate the pain of arthritis. Conventional drugs approved for arthritis also have anti-inflammatory activity as their mode of action.
